CorrosionX Aviation Grade (blue label) has become the aviation industry's standard corrosion preventative compound. It is one of the few such products that is FAA/MIL Spec approved (only 3.7% solvent*) and is widely used by the military. It is a multi-functional product that is an exceptional lubricant for rod ends (such as found in Mooneys), hinges, locks, and closure mechanisms. It is also an unexcelled penetrant for breaking loose rusted/corroded components (exhaust studs, inspection plate screws, etc.) and is excellent when applied topically for "spot" jobs via aerosol cans.
